I just bought this 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 about 2 months ago and have had no problems almost 2 things that I have had to deal with in the 2 months I have had it. The first thing was the FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR and that cost me 147.44 and that with labor from the GM dealer ship. shit happends. that did not piss me off but what did was my 2nd problem. the rear axle gears went out i have posted a pic of them below. they just want out like that there waz no sign that they were going to go out at all. I waz stoped at a stop sign waiting for this cop to pass before a went. When i started to turn and pull off slowly I hear this one load snap/bang I did not know what the fuck it could be at all I had thought I had broke a transmission mount some how. so I pulled over and looked under the truck and did not see anything at all so im like "What the fuck. Fuck it" so I get in the truck and pull off and about a 2 miles down the road i slow down and turn and it dose it agin BANG so im thinking its the transmissiom mount. I speed up to 30 mph and punch the gas 30mph to 60mph to see if it would make the Bang sound agin but it did not do it when it shifted. so i dont know what it is at all. when I get to the park next to my house I stop and put it in reverse and it grinds about 3 times so i put it in drive and it grinds agin so I know what it is now but I cant bleave it at all I mean this is a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 with 108,000 miles. Its the rear axle gears "Shit" well theres a pic of the gears below let me know if you have seen gears like this in a five year old truck with under 110,000 miles.
